Hum Dehshat gardi se nahin darte

Apne bachay vilait main hain parhte
Hum Dehshat gardi se nahin darte
Fogio tum raho yuheen larte
ai gahdo tum raho yuheen marte (courtcy Jalib musheer se)
Hum Dehshat gardi se nahin darte

tum maro ge bayan dain ge hum
kuch raqam ka bhee daan dain ge hum
tum nahin ho hamara khoon to phir
aur kiyun dehyan dain ge hum
tum raho yunhee agg main jalte
Hum Dehshat gardi se nahin darte

tum maro bhee to bura kia hai
tum se is mulq ko mila kia hai
mehz keeray ho tum galazat ke
mar bhee jao to waqia kia hai
aqa kehte hain, aur hum karte
Hum Dehshat gardi se nahin darte

Shehar main ghus gaye jo wo qaza faroosh
eis main hai kia bhala nigeban ka doosh
kar lia us ne apna kaam ko pura
dekhna ab hamara tum joosh-o-kharoosh
ab wo bach ke nikal nahin sakte
Hum Dehshat gardi se nahin darte

hum ko tashweesh kum nahin hotee
ye mazammat bhee kum nahin hotee
baith kar apne takht par ai doost
itnee ramat bhee kam nahin hotee
hum bhala aur kia hain kar sakte
Hum Dehshat gardi se nahin darte

Lighters, China and Memories

When I started smoking some 13 years back(please dont tell this to my mom) the things were really cheap at that time. We could get a pack of Marlboro in 25 Rs, one liter patrol costed about 12 Rs and people were able to run their house hold in 3 to 4 thousand Rs and we used to buy a cigrate lighter for 10 Rs. A simple dependable lighter with roll over action made in USA.

Now I have to buy a Marlboro for 90 Rs, one liter patrol costs 52Rs per liter and a person can only pay his utility bills in 3 to 4 thousand  rupees. So we remember the good old days when every thing was cheap but still there is some thing that reminds me of those days yes the good old lighter now when buy a liter it has a shpisticated button instead of a roll over and to make the thing a little more intresting and usefull there is a small tourch in it. So you can use the lighter as lighter(which makes sense ofcourse) and it can be used as a tourch as well, and amazing thing is it still costs 10Rs its just that its made in China :)

Words May Fail(a poem about the US invation of Iraq)

Words May Fail

Flood of Tears, in the mist of fears

Helpless fathers

Dying sons and screaming daughters

Killed for oil or killed for fun

On their own soil under the burning sun

The power of my expression can not tell the tale

The emotions are such that words may fail

Danes, Sculptures and Nudity

When you go out in Denmark (Or in Sweden for that matter) you will find sculptures on almost every road and crossings. These sculptures are mostly of people and some of them of course of women. One of the most disturbing (amusing) facts about the sculptures of women is that they are naked. Looks like it is a slogan of Danes "We don’t make women satues with cloths on”. Some times I think that WHY.

May be the people who made those did not had the time to make cloths may be facing some steep deadlines. "We want to install it on 1 August and cloths are at least priority". May be not a requirement just a users silly wish(which I think would be other way around) we can neglect that. But then again thinking about the process of making a sculpture you don’t really make naked sculpture and then make cloths on them, that will be a mare waste of time.

Or may be it is these guys are not skilled enough to make good cloths on sculptures. Well you know I can make the body but can not make cloths. Which I don’t think is correct as these guys are good, and frankly speaking it is always difficult to make a naked women statue then to make one with cloths.

So here is the conclusion they make naked Sculptures because "They want to see Naked Women".

As for the Pakistan guys visiting Denmark who are a little on the religious side "Hazarat mujasmain dekhna mana hai" (you are not allowed to see the sculptures guys)

An other Friend leaves

Today a 6 year long era of companionship ended for me. Ibrahim and I were class fellows in our MS and after that we end up working in the same office. The whole time was a wonderful experience. But now as this is ending I wish him all the very best. (and Ibrahim I provided you what ever you said for 6 six years not 4 ;))

Ibrahim is one of that rare breed of men, if you have some of them are around you, they make your life richer and happier. I am happy for him that he is leaving PSG for a better opportunity and I know that this will be doing great as he is one of the best in what he will be doing in his next job. But still some thing tells me when I get back; the PSG will not be the same without him.

I always use the metaphor of a family marring their daughters, for the good colleagues leaving your company. You know that they are going to a new life which is destined for them. They will be happier and more content with the new relationships and new commitments. Yet you are a little skeptical what the new place holds for them and will they be ok there. Even if you are satisfied about these things still a certain orb of sadness surrounds you that they will not be there with you any more. Yes you will be meeting them every now and then but it will be nothing like having the pleasure of living together.

I pray for you Ibrahim that you get the very best in life.

Hail to the remaining old ones

Kuri kee kardee hai(what does the girl do)

I was standing out side the office, a public transport bus came on a stop near by. There was a girl driving it who seemed by be asian most probally Pakistani. I suddenly thought that as most of the parents of Danish Pakisatnis look the match for their daughters in Pakistan.

Keeping in mind a country where girls even dont drive cabs and also the keeping in mind impression of local bus drivers in Pakistan, I was imagining a scenario where a Danaish Pakistani family goes to a Pakistani family looking for a boy for their daughter here and mother of boy says

Kuri kardee kee hai uthay(what does the girl do there)
O jee bus chalandee hai(she drives a bus)
hain jee(what)

Expressions of the boys mother would be some thing to capture :).
